Where we operate
With over 15 years’ experience working in “international project risk”, Panorama’s team cut their teeth in Iraq’s post war oil and gas market. They have built unique expertise in the sector, and in the country and indeed have a network of contacts there.
During the past decade, Panorama’s team have broadened their territorial activities, whilst being careful to retain their unique proposition. They have worked in countries such as Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Libya, Mozambique and Somalia. In 2019 Panorama moved into Guyana in South America.
Panorama continues to accept project risk business from emerging and frontier markets. Enquiries come from countries across the globe and the placement of such business is always dependant on local insurance laws.

With a deep knowledge and network of contacts, Panorama’s relationship with the country has been the cornerstone to its activities to date. Having spent a great deal of time and energy in the territory, Panorama has an established network inside Iraq. These useful contacts enable Panorama to place risks into international reinsurance markets.
In 2006 William Wakeham founded an online publication called Iraq Business News (IBN). This publication is widely respected and an accepted market leader for Iraq-specific commercial news.
